TapPC — App and Desktop Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026. CODEEVAAI provides TapPC for pairing an Android phone with an authorized Windows PC. This policy covers the companion app, desktop software and information processed by our connected services.

Information processed and why

  • Device and pairing information: device identifiers, device names or models, pairing identifiers and access credentials, used to connect the correct devices, verify access and maintain the pairing.
  • Control and status information: requested actions, command outcomes, lock state, device presence, timestamps and feature-policy confirmations, used to deliver controls and show whether they succeeded.
  • Diagnostics: error codes, failures, response times, connection events and feature/button timing, used to investigate problems, protect the service and improve reliability. Network addresses and connection information may be processed when devices communicate with the service.
  • Local settings: preferences, PC PIN verification data, selected lock-screen pictures and activity history. The PC keeps information needed for its local lock and settings; the app caches pairing and received status or messages. Pictures selected for the PC lock background are copied into local PC storage.
  • Support and purchase information, when applicable: information you provide to support and order or entitlement details needed to resolve requests or provide paid access. Payment platforms process payments under their own policies.

Permissions and sensitive device information

Camera access is used to scan pairing QR codes. Phone biometric or screen-lock verification is handled by the phone's operating system; TapPC receives the verification result, not your raw fingerprint, face template or phone screen-lock PIN. Notification permission allows status and service messages. Background connection permissions support communication while the app is not open. Optional Windows administrator approval is used for Enhanced Protection.

TapPC does not provide screen sharing or intentionally collect the contents of your PC documents, contacts, SMS messages or unrelated app activity to operate its lock controls. Device names, diagnostic messages or information you send to support can still contain personal information; avoid including secrets.

Service processing and sharing

Pairing, authorized commands, status and diagnostics are processed by our connected services and may be viewed by authorized support or operational personnel. Service providers supporting hosting, operational monitoring, alert delivery, distribution or payments may process the information necessary for those functions. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to address fraud, abuse or security incidents. We do not sell TapPC personal data.

Service messages may include status alerts, security notices, product updates or administrator-managed campaigns. Notification visibility also depends on your device settings. Information may be processed in locations used by our service providers, subject to applicable requirements.

Retention and removal

The current Android release retains received PC activity history for the last 24 hours. Older cached history is removed while the app runs or when it next starts. This does not automatically erase separate desktop history, operational diagnostics or records required for security, support or legal obligations.

Pairing information remains until the pairing is removed. Operational records are limited by their purpose and storage limits and may outlast a pairing. Local desktop settings, PIN verification data and copied pictures can remain after logout; use the desktop uninstall option to remove saved data when appropriate. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local app data but does not by itself request deletion of all service records or reliably notify the paired PC.

Your choices, requests and security

You can revoke optional permissions in device settings, stop using the service and remove pairing through available logout controls. Some functions will stop working without required permissions or connectivity. Request access, correction or deletion of applicable personal data, or raise a privacy concern, at info@codeevaai.com. Describe the affected device or pairing without sending access tokens, passwords or PINs. We may request reasonable verification and retain information where legally required.

We use access controls and safeguards intended to protect information; no software or transmission method is guaranteed completely secure. TapPC is intended for users authorized to manage their devices and is not directed at children under 18. Contact us if you believe a child's information has been provided. Material policy changes will be posted here with an updated effective date.
